Aircraft of Bomber Command

One of the undisputed "greats" among the aircraft of the Second World War, the "Wooden Wonder" served in a variety of roles. Its ceiling of 36,000' and maximum speed in excess of 400 m.p.h. enabled it to be used as a night fighter as well as a very effective bomber, particularly for specialized operations requiring stealth and speed.
